One month of Great Food and Wine

It has been a month since the official opening of the first City Vino, on the Jersey City waterfront. After lots of hard work and numerous delays we finally made it. City Vino is a reality!

First of all I want to thank my wife and Executive Chef Lucia for all her support and understanding during this past year, also my partners Andy, Robert, our Executive Chef Daniel Castano, my marketing genius Tamara and all of you that believed and supported this ambitious project.

We are very happy with the feedback we have received from our customers and the number of you that have returned several times to City Vino in the past month. Our main goal is to have you leave our place happy with the food, the service and off course the wine. We are achieving our goal. We have people talking about City Vino and recommending it to friends in the Jersey City area, in the rest of Northern New Jersey and of course, many people are crossing the river from Manhattan to try the food from our chefs Lucia and Daniel, and to get to know this great new spot in the Jersey City Waterfront.

Last week we introduced our lunch specials for our corporate customers in Jersey City and we changed to our Winter Menu. Some of our dishes stayed and we have some new creations from our star chefs. In December, we will be hosting numerous events from our corporate neighbors. Thanks to the people of Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Prudential, and others for choosing us as hosts of their end of year events. In January we will begin our series of Wine Tasting and Wine dinner events. Wine tasting events will be held weekly featuring different wines and cheeses from around the world. Wine dinners will be held with visiting winemakers and directors from selected wineries. We have confirmed for January the visit of Bodegas Protos from Ribera del Duero – Spain, and Bodegas Lagarde from Mendoza Argentina in February. We will keep you posted on the dates of these events via our email list (exclusive customer-only list).

Finally, thanks to those of you who already voted in the www.jclist.com poll to select the Best new restaurant in Jersey City. The poll ends January 7th so you can still vote if you haven’t.

Hope to see you soon in City Vino. Cheers!!!!!
