Daniel Castaño
Executive Chef
Daniel Castaño has been cooking since he was ten. As a Mechanical Engineer he worked part-time in restaurants while in college. Afterwards he pursued culinary studies which led him to New York. He graduated from the French Culinary Institute with a Grand Diploma in Culinary Arts and a special mention for a perfect attendance. In 2003 Daniel, won the James Beard Foundation scholarship to study International Bread Baking at the FCI. He has been working for the past 5 years with celebrity chef Mario Batali in several of his restaurants such as Lupa and Otto, and was the executive chef at the Italian Wine Merchants.
